Content and Research Specialist


At Dissolve, our vision is to transform stock footage and photography from so-so to spectacular. We're looking for a Content and Research Specialist to surprise and delight our clients through providing exceptional service and creative, innovative research. You will be the creative bridge for Dissolve clients, interpreting and fulfilling their requests for content across the Dissolve stock footage and photo library. You will also be working closely with our content (product) team to load and review stock footage and photo collections for quality and license validity.

You have passion and an eye for footage and photography. You love collaboration and coming up with new ways of doing things. You're organized, motivated, and detail-oriented, and you work well in a collaborative team environment. You've got a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

A day in the life:

• Provide overall outstanding client service through constant customer interaction
• Search content for clients’ requests and make recommendations for both conceptual and specific needs
• Act as a consultant for the client to ensure proper licensing requirements are met
• Provide quotes on content for agency clients
• Provide internal feedback to improve our online search experience and keyword functionality
• Provide overall support for website and content needs
• Help compile feedback on missing content and creative trends
• Help with processing footage and photo content
• Understand and assist with metadata enhancement and licensing clearance
• Follow up with clients to ensure that content selection meets or exceeds expectations

What you bring to the role:

• Ability to interpret clients’ visual requirements
• Customer Service experience
• Capable of juggling multiple projects and completing a large volume of work efficiently and effectively on a deadline
• Ability to think conceptually and creatively while delivering results against client briefs, and deciding when to seek additional information
• Strong communication, interpersonal, project management, and critical thinking skills
• Certificates or experience in photography, film, graphic design, advertising, communications, or equivalent is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work in a multi-app environment

Bonus points if you have:

• Clip, color correct, and post production editing using Adobe Premiere
• Familiarity with copyright issues as they pertain to both fine art and commercial photography
• Experience in image curation
