Content Specialist

 

Calgary-based Dissolve, a stock footage and photography company, is looking for a Content Specialist. You will be part of a team responsible for ensuring that incoming digital footage and photography content adheres to curation guidelines and metadata standards including commercial release criteria.

Who you are:

You have passion and an eye for footage and photography. You love collaboration and coming up with new ways of doing things. You're organized, motivated, and detail-oriented, and you work well in a collaborative team environment. You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

A day in the life:

 Help with processing footage and photo content onto our website.
 Provide feedback to contributors on client needs and enhanced content creation.
 Provide internal feedback to improve our online search experience and keyword functionality.
 Provide internal support to improve content production workflow process & tools.
Coordinate our distributed team with our content review queues

What you bring to the role:

• Ability to interpret clients’ visual requirements.
 Capable of juggling projects and completing a large volume of work efficiently and effectively.
 Great attention to detail.
 Strong communication, interpersonal, project management, and critical thinking skills.
People management abilities
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work in a multi-app environment.

Bonus points if you’re an expert in one or more of these:

• Familiarity with copyright issues as they pertain to both fine art and commercial photography.
 Experience in image curation.
 Experience with digital asset management and an understanding of metadata.

Education:

• Certificates or experience in photography, film, graphic design, advertising, communications, or equivalent is preferred.
