Data Science Specialist

 

At Dissolve, our vision is to transform the experience of licensing stock footage and photography from so-so to spectacular. Right now, we're looking for a Data Science Specialist. You will be part of the team responsible for ensuring incoming digital footage and photography content (product) is well organized and can be found by customers. You are a whiz at organization and data management as well as continuously improving structured content standards (metadata, taxonomy, tagging).

Who you are:

You love collaboration and coming up with new ways of doing things. Your organizational skills are off the hook, and you’ve got a strong track record of completing projects on time. You work well in a collaborative team environment, and you can put together clear, concise and grammatically correct writing.

What you bring to the role:

• Post-secondary degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Data Science or equivalent
• Strong communication skills
• Translate data analysis into revenue generation opportunities
• Organized with great attention to detail
• Advanced knowledge of English idioms, synonyms, phrases, and trends in popular usage
• Ability to work with technology to improve production processes
 Experience with data management including data architecture and modeling, data quality, data warehousing, business intelligence, and metadata management
 Strong ability to work in undiscovered, unstructured territories and to formalize processes that are currently not formalized

Bonus points if you’re an expert in one or more of these:

• Microsoft Excel skills and/or other technical production programs
• Background in digital asset management
• Strong understanding of structured content standards (metadata, taxonomy, tagging)
• Experience with photo and video production and post-production workflows and tools, including Avid and Adobe platforms
